The Operation

The Business Unit at Skinnskatteberg Municipality works to create conditions for the local business community to develop and grow. By providing the best possible conditions for entrepreneurship and new business creation, the unit contributes to good growth. Our goal is to work efficiently with administrative matters, conduct regular company visits, and recognize, educate, and facilitate for the municipality's entrepreneurs and business owners. Skinnskatteberg also has a business council, which is a forum for dialogue and discussion about the development of the municipality and the local business community. The Business Unit is also responsible for our internal and external information and communication efforts.

Job Responsibilities

As the Business Manager, you will communicate and convey information between the municipality and the business community and work for the development of the local business community based on the municipality's business strategy. You will be the municipality's representative towards the business community and guide them in the municipal organization. Your role includes collaborating with local business networks, regions, other municipalities, and industry organizations, as well as creating and communicating conditions for new establishments and stimulating new business creation. As the Business Manager, you will also supervise the municipality's communicator and together with them support the administration in their communication needs, both operationally and strategically. You will be part of the municipality's management team.

Qualifications

You have a relevant university degree in economics, communication, or business development. Experience in business development and place development is an advantage. We prefer that you have experience running your own business, as well as experience leading and developing organizations. You have good competence in the effective use of digital communication channels. A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is a confident and inspiring leader, who wants to contribute with courage, innovation, and decisiveness to our continued growth. Your service level is high, and you handle both small and large contexts with ease. We also believe that you have a distinctly good ability to build and maintain relationships. You should have excellent knowledge of Swedish and a good ability to express yourself in both spoken and written form. It is advantageous if you have previous experience collaborating with municipalities, regions, schools, organizations, and other networks to promote local development.

Working Hours/Duration

The position is permanent and full-time. Start date according to agreement. Interviews may begin before the application period has expired.
